Lloyd Kelly is the subject of fresh and late transfer window interest from Serie A side Juventus.

But Chronicle Live understands that Juve would have to come up with a ridiculously tempting offer for the Magpies to consider it. Juve have attempted to sign Lens' Kevin Danso in the past 24 hours but been told no hence why they have moved their attentions back to Kelly.

Notably, the Turin club's sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has been told that Marseille and Tottenham Hotspur also hold an interest in Kelly. But Newcastle are unlikely to do any of their rivals any favours in the remainder of the window meaning the Serie A club could be in with a shout of they put something spectacular together.

Juventus' best hope of getting Kelly would be to insert an obligation to buy the ex-Bournemouth defender. Yet even then, Newcastle value the player at around £25million.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe had stated on Friday that the Magpies aren't keen on selling Kelly or anybody else after the departure of Miguel Almiron to Atlanta United. The Toon chief said 24 hours ago: "As we stand now, currently I don't. But, yeah, things can change, but as we stand at the moment, I expect the squad to remain the same."

Speaking on ex-Bristol City star Kelly earlier this month, Howe said: "I've seen a little bit of the speculation on Lloyd. We've certainly not had any bid anywhere close to making the club make a decision on that.

"Lloyd's an integral part of what we're doing from my perspective."
