Newcastle United have included new signings Baran Yildiz and Kyle Fitzgerald in their Premier League squad for the second half of the 2024/25 season.

The arrivals from Genclerbirligi and Galway, respectively, were submitted to the top-flight as Under-21 players but will be eligible for Premier League action as youth players outside the permitted 25-man squad. The Magpies - who offloaded Lloyd Kelly and Miguel Almiron to Juventus and Atlanta United - have actually submitted a squad that is one player light of the allocated 25 men.

It includes five goalkeepers and just 19 outfield players including injured duo Jamaal Lascelles and Harvey Barnes meaning Eddie Howe's squad must hope that injuries do not cut into the squad in the final four months of the campaign.

Australian youngster Garang Kuol is also included in the batch of players Under-21 after failing to leave on loan this month. Will Osula and Lewis Miley are also named in the younger group of players outside the 25 but can still play.
