NFL mock draft from The Athletic has Shedeur Sanders to the Raiders with no trade
Here's a second straight NFL mock draft that has Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders dropping out of the top-five of upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
Would it be that surprising? He's talented, but I've seen questions about whether he's a top-five talent. Yet in the latest mock from our Christian D’Andrea — a top-five mini-mock — he had the Cleveland Browns grabbing Sanders at No. 2.
In the latest mock draft from The Athletic, Dane Brugler has him dropping all the way to the Las Vegas Raiders at No. 6, which would make sense for the franchise that needs a QB. Here's his take on the drop:
There are a ton of mixed opinions in the league about Sanders, and it will be interesting to see how (or if) that changes throughout the draft process once coaches get involved. But with Mark Davis and Tom Brady heavily influencing this pick, I’m not sure the Raiders could pass on Sanders — although, hopefully the new head coach and general manager will have a say in that decision.
