NFL scores: Bills win shootout over Lions, Eagles dominate Steelers

Week 15 was highlighted by two major matchups. In the first, the Eagles defeated the Steelers, 27–13. Jalen Hurts threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns. A.J. Brown had eight receptions for 110 yards, while DeVonta Smith grabbed 11 passes for 109 yards. Each receiver scored a TD.

Pittsburgh ran out the final 10:29 of the game with 21 plays on its last possession.

In what many viewed as a Super Bowl preview, the Bills won a shootout over the Lions, 48–35. As could have been expected, Buffalo had little trouble scoring on a beat-up and undermanned Detroit defense.

Josh Allen threw for 362 yards with two TDs and also rushed for two scores. James Cook also ran for two TDs with his 105 yards rushing. Jared Goff racked up 494 yards and five touchdowns passing and Amon-Ra St. Brown caught 14 passes for 93 yards. But the Lions had to play catch-up after falling behind 14–0 and could never recover.

Detroit drops to 12–2 and is now tied with the Eagles for the top record in the NFC. The Vikings could match them on Monday night with a win over the Bears.

The Broncos also strengthened their playoff position with a 31–13 win over the Colts, overcoming three Bo Nix interceptions. And the Buccaneers may have wrapped up the NFC South with a 40–17 victory versus the Chargers, led by Baker Mayfield throwing four TD passes.
