Reading boss Noel Hunt has said 'the time for chat is afterwards' ahead of a reunion with former Royal, Ollie Norwood.

The 33-year-old has been an EFL and Premier League fixture for over 15 years, most notably with Sheffield United, and made nearly a century of appearances for Reading between 2014 and 2016.

Joining Stockport County in the summer upon their promotion from League Two, the Northern Ireland legend has been a regular as the Hatters sit seventh, directly behind sixth-placed Reading.

Set to return to the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday, Hunt said it will be nice to see the former Manchester United youngster, but will save niceties until post-match.

"He is a fantastic player, everyone in the EFL and above will know how good a player Ollie Norwood is. It’ll be great to see him come back to the club, but we’ve got to worry about ourselves.

"Every game we’ve played I’ve come up against players I’ve played with or against and it’s about us staying focused on what we do. The time for chat is after when the game is done."

Last Saturday, in the FA Cup, former Reading Player of the Season winner Josh Laurent returned for the first time since departing with Burnley and made sure to applaud those who used to chant his name in Berkshire.

Norwood came off the bench for Dave Challinor's side in October's 4-1 win for Stockport over the Royals at Edgeley Park.
