Non league round up: Billericay and Hullbridge both bag wins

BILLERICAY Town continued their push for the Isthmian Premier Division title with a 3-0 win at bottom of the table Bognor Regis Town on Saturday.

Bradley Williams put Billericay in front after just 14 minutes before Tyrell Miller-Rodney made it 2-0 six minutes later.

Jack Paxman added a third in the second half to keep second placed Billericay level on points with table-topping Dartford.

At the other end of the table, second from bottom Bowers & Pitsea lost 3-0 at Dulwich Hamlet and are now 13 points from safety.

Canvey Island are 16th after losing 2-1 at sixth placed Carshalton Athletic.

Darren Foxley fired Canvey in front after just five minutes before the Gulls had Jamie Salmon sent off on the stroke of half-time.

The hosts made the most of their extra man in the second half to record all three points.

In Isthmian North, Basildon United dropped into the relegation zone following a 1-0 defeat at Gorleston.

The Bees have now gone 17 games without a win.

In the Essex Senior League, Hullbridge Sports won 2-1 at Romford thanks to goals from Connor Hart and Oscar Jones.

Hullbridge are now 16th in the standings.
