'Not happy' - Alexis Mac Allister shares what was said in Liverpool dressing room after Tottenham demolition
Alexis Mac Allister has admitted that Liverpool were left frustrated after conceding three goals despite a 6-3 demolition of Tottenham Hotspur in north London on Sunday. The Reds went four points clear of Chelsea at the top of the Premier League with the comprehensive victory.
And yet Mac Allister, who was on the scoresheet alongside Dominik Szoboszlai and two apiece from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah, says Liverpool spoke openly in the dressing room about their defending after allowing Spurs to pull two goals back when the score went to 5-1 in the second half.
The Argentine wants to see an improvement from Liverpool defensively but did praise the team's ruthless attacking display.

"We spoke about it in the dressing room, we are not happy with the fact we conceded three goals, that's very clear, but we score six, that’s not very easy. Tottenham are a good team, they press really high, they are aggressive, we knew we had to put the ball in behind and score the opportunities we had," he told BBC Sport.
"We are happy with the result, there are many things to improve but we’re happy to get the three points. At the back we have to play simple and get the ball to them [attackers]. We worked on this the whole week and we try to improve every single day.
“We know we have to concede less, we are not happy with conceding three today, but it is what it is, we play against really good teams. Maybe we have to defend better but also we know we are dangerous when we attack.”
Mac Allister had words of praise for midfield partner Szoboszlai, who had a hand in three of Liverpool's goals and put in a tireless display in an advanced role.
"Dom is amazing," Mac Allister added. "He can do everything; on and off the ball he is really good. He played a really good game; same with the attackers. We’re in a really good moment."
