Nottingham Forest boss Nuno makes Danilo decision as he names team to face Luton Town
Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has named his Nottingham Forest team to face Luton Town in the third round of the FA Cup.
The Reds go into today’s clash at the City Ground looking to extend their winning run to seven games in all competitions. They made it six Premier League victories in a row last time out with a 3-0 triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers courtesy of goals from Morgan Gibbs-White, Chris Wood and Tawio Awoniyi.
In his pre-match press conference ahead of this afternoon’s tie, Nuno stated he would make considerable changes to his starting line-up. He has stayed true to his word, with a completely different line-up to Monday night at Molineux.
Goalkeeper Carlos Miguel is handed only his second appearance for the club as regular No.1 Matz Sels is rested. Ahead of him it looks set to be a back line of Eric da Silva Moreira, Willy Boly, Morato, Harry Toffolo and Alex Moreno.
Ryan Yates and James Ward-Prowse will be the midfield pairing. Jota Silva and Ramon Sosa will support front man Taiwo Awoniyi.
Sels, Nikola Milenkovic, Elliot Anderson, Nicolas Dominguez, Anthony Elanga, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Chris Wood are the starters from Monday who are named on the bench. Midfielder Danilo is also among the substitutes as he hopes to make his comeback from a broken ankle, and youngster Zach Abbott is also on the bench. Murillo, Neco Williams, Ola Aina and Morgan Gibbs-White are not in the match squad after starting in the West Midlands.
Forest: Miguel; Moreira, Boly, Morato, Toffolo, Moreno; Yates, Ward-Prowse; Jota, Awoniyi, Sosa. Subs: Sels, Anderson, Wood, Hudson-Odoi, Dominguez, Elanga, Danilo, Milenkovic, Abbott.
