Nottingham Forest confirm deadline day deal as forgotten man secures move
Nottingham Forest attacker Emmanuel Dennis has completed a loan move to Blackburn Rovers.
The 27-year-old will spend the rest of the campaign with the Championship side having fallen out of favour at the City Ground. Reports have suggested the Reds decided against including an option to buy as part of the deal. Announcing his departure, Forest said: "We wish Emmanuel the best of luck during his time at Blackburn."
Dennis was left out of Forest’s 25-man Premier League squad for the first half of the season and always looked likely to move on before the winter window closed. He had been linked with a number of clubs before his switch to Ewood Park was secured.

Reports suggested the Nigerian had discussions with former side Watford as well as French outfit Toulouse about securing a move. German team Werder Bremen were also credited with an interest in clinching his signature and Sheffield Wednesday were recently linked.
Dennis signed for Forest from the Hornets in the summer of 2022 for a reported £20 million fee. He has made 25 appearances in the Garibaldi and has scored two goals.
The last time he played for the Reds was when he came off the bench against Crystal Palace on the final day of the 2022/23 campaign. He spent last term on loan at Turkish side Basaksehir and then at Vicarage Road.
Dennis is the third departure sanctioned by the Reds on transfer deadline day. James Ward-Prowse returned to parent club West Ham United and fellow midfielder Lewis O’Brien joined Swansea City on loan.
At Ewood Park, Dennis will join former Red Yuri Ribeiro as part of Blackburn’s squad. The left-back has signed for Rovers from Portuguese side Braga on a permanent deal until the end of the campaign.
