Nottingham Forest reach transfer agreement as £11m player flies out for medical
Nottingham Forest’s Andrew Omobamidele is said to be in France to complete a transfer from the City Ground.
Centre-back Omobamidele has failed to make a breakthrough since joining the Reds for £11m from Norwich City almost 17 months ago. The Republic of Ireland international made 11 appearances for the club in the Premier League last season, but has not added to that tally so far during this campaign.
His only appearance this season came in a penalty shootout defeat to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup back in August. And his absence from the Forest squad against Luton Town in the FA Cup earlier this month was telling as other fringe players were involved.

Reds coach Andy Reid has since all but confirmed a departure is likely and both Leeds United and Sheffield United have been linked with the player during the January transfer window. But now L’Equipe report Omobamidele is in Strasbourg to complete a move to the Ligue 1 club after the French club and Forest reached an agreement over a transfer.
