Nottingham Forest 'in talks' over transfer deadline day signing
Nottingham Forest have reportedly held talks over signing Reading defender Tyler Bindon.
Other than re-signing goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey on a short-term deal, the Reds are yet to welcome any new faces this month. Even amid the lack of incomings, it could be a relatively quiet deadline day at the City Ground.
However, according to The Telegraph, Forest have their eye on New Zealand centre-back Bindon. Viewed as one for the future, it is said a deal to loan the 20-year-old back to the League One side for the rest of the season would be considered.

Bindon joined the Royals in August 2023 and has been a first-team regular since then. Prior to moving to the UK, he had come up through the ranks at East Coast Bays in his homeland and MLS outfit Los Angeles FC.
Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers, Watford, Hull City and Coventry City have been credited with an interest in him. According to New Zealand publication Friends of Football, Arsenal had scouted him in the past.
Bindon was asked about speculation about his future earlier this month. He insisted his focus was on continuing to play for Reading.
“I haven’t talked to anyone. I’m here right now, and that’s all that matters right now; I’m living in the moment,” he told BBC Radio Berkshire (via Friends of Football).
“It’s not in my hands, unfortunately. Whatever happens, I will deal with it.
“In my head I always like to live in the moment, be myself and don’t like the outside noise. I just focus on what I’m doing. If something happens in the January window, we have to deal with that as a group and move on.”
Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo currently has Murillo, Nikola Milenkovic, Morato and Willy Boly as his centre-back options. Andrew Omobamidele headed out on loan to Strasbourg earlier this month.
