Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner remains unable to put a timeframe on the return of midfielder Adam Wharton.

Wharton, 20, had groin surgery at the start of November, and while the operation was deemed a success, the Englishman has suffered numerous complications throughout his recovery.

With the Eagles attempting to nurse the England international back to fitness, Glasner divulged his frustrations, adding that Wharton remains in discomfort.

"It’s not satisfying," Glasner said. "We’re trying to find solutions. We didn’t find the right ones, which is why it takes longer and longer.

"Then there was another issue; we thought we could treat it, and the problems would go away.

"We got the response that the problems were not gone. We have to deal with these issues. We are doing our best to get him back. We don't know how long it will take. He can’t train at the moment."
