Olympic basketball games today: Team USA women vs. Japan highlights Paris Games July 29 slate

The United States women's basketball team is ready to get going at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

U.S. stars Sabrina Ionescu, A'Ja Wilson, Brittney Griner and the rest of the Team USA roster will play their first game against Japan in Group C play of the Summer Olympics. The United States has a 72-3 all-time record in the Olympics and has won seven straight gold medals. The last loss for the U.S. came during the 1992 Olympics.

With the WNBA season taking a break after the All-Star game, the women's national team played the WNBA All-Star team during the break on July 20, then played Germany in an exhibition on July 23 in London. The last prior international game before that was a 101-39 victory over Senegal during group play of the 2024 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Antwerp, Belgium.

In other Group C action, the German women's national basketball team will play Belgium in the morning. In Group B, Nigeria will play Australia at 5 a.m., and Canada and France will face off.

How to watch basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics today?

The United States women's national basketball team's Group C game against Japan will be broadcast in English on USA Network and simulcast in Spanish on Universo on Monday at 3 p.m. ET. Streaming options include Fubo, which offers a free trial.

All four games on Monday can be streamed on Peacock, NBC's streaming service, or NBCOlympics.com (with a cable login).
