Olympic medal count today: What is the medal count at 2024 Paris Games on Aug. 10?

The 2024 Paris Olympics may be nearing its end, but some crucial medals are still on the line.

Fifty-two Olympic medals were awarded Saturday across 21 sports, including a gold in men's basketball. Team USA, led by Stephen Curry, LeBron James and Kevin Durant, defeated the host country France, featuring NBA stars Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert. With the win, the U.S. men's national basketball team secured its fifth consecutive gold medal.

The U.S. women's national soccer team also defeated Brazil to win gold in Paris on Saturday, marking the women's first gold medal finish since 2021. Mallory Swanson scored the go-ahead goal in the 57th minute to claim gold.
