OTLEY Town remain stuck in mid-table, after a rollercoaster 5-3 home defeat to Kellingley Welfare on Saturday afternoon.

The West Yorkshire League Division One clash produced a spectacular opening 45 minutes, with the two sides locked together at 3-3.

But the difference between the two sides was the prolific William Mendonca.

He completed his hat-trick to put Kellingley 4-3 in front five minutes into the second half, before netting for the fourth time to finish off Otley once and for all after 73 minutes.

Otley remain sit ninth in the 14-team table, with 21 points from their 17 games so far.

Neighbours Pool play in the WYL Premier Division, and they also sit ninth.
In a tight division, they drew 2-2 on Saturday with second-placed Ripon City, who are only eight points above them having played two games more.

Craig Nicholls and Andrew Rose found the net for Pool in what was an entertaining encounter.
