All the hype was about Owen Beck. But Dundee have another left-back who should be on the radar of Celtic and Rangers.

That's according to ex-Hibs and Dark Blues striker Tam McManus. Dees boss Tony Docherty has pulled some transfer masterstrokes in his debut season, and his success in the market has helped the Dens Park outfit secure a top-six finish for the first time since 2015.

The likes of Joe Shaughnessy, Antonio Portales and Amadou Bakayoko have all been major successes for Dundee but it's Liverpool full-back Beck who made the headlines and PFA Scotland's Team of the Year after an outstanding stint from Anfield. Beck caught the attention of the Old Firm in January and the 21-year-old Welshman will likely go on to bigger and better things next season.

However, McManus reckons the Dees have another loan defender who will have caught the eye of Glasgow's big two in Owen Dodgson. The versatile full-back, who has also played centre-back and left wing, has been another impressive signing since arriving on loan from Burnley in January - racking up 12 appearances so far.

And speaking on PLZ Soccer, McManus tipped the 21-year-old as a potential summer target for Brendan Rodgers and Philippe Clement. He said: "I like the left-back, Dodgson. I think he's on loan from Burnley. He's been excellent, I think Celtic and Rangers should be looking at him. The two games I've seen him, against both Celtic and Rangers, I thought he was really really good."
