Parrott heroics, Ndombele's unique opportunity and Rodon masterclass - Tottenham loan latest
The end of the 2023/24 season is almost here. For Tottenham, Ange Postecoglou's side will play their final league game of the campaign on Sunday afternoon when they take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
There is still a further fixture still to come for the Lilywhites, however, as they jet off to Melbourne for a post-season friendly against Newcastle United at the world-famous MCG. With some leagues across Europe going on for a further week before the curtain comes down on the term, a number of Tottenham's loan players are about to play their final few games for their respective loan clubs.
Some already have done that, with Japhet Tanganga's season coming to an end almost two weeks ago at Millwall and the same going for Alfie Devine and Ashley Phillips at Plymouth Argyle. But how exactly did everyone still out on loan fare for their respective clubs over the past week? football.london takes a look at all of Tottenham's loan players below.
Tanguy Ndombele (Galatasaray)
Tanguy Ndombele is on course to pick up another winners' medal with Galatasaray on the verge of winning the Turkish league title. Interestingly, the Super Lig giants have a unique opportunity to do it against fierce rivals Fenerbahce on Sunday evening when the sides meet in a mouth-watering contest at RAMS Park.
Six points currently separate the teams in the title race, with a point enough for Galatasaray to regain their crown and Fenerbahce needing to win in order to take it to the final day. Last weekend Galatasaray claimed a vital three points with a last-minute 3-2 win away at Fatih Karagumruk.

Ndombele was once again an unused substitute in the game, meaning he has not come on from the bench in six of their last seven league fixtures. His last outing came in the 4-0 win away at Alanyaspor in the middle of April as he was brought on for the final five minutes.
In total, Ndombele has played 661 minutes across 26 games for Galatasaray since making the move from Tottenham.
Djed Spence (Genoa)
Djed Spence continues to find himself in and out of the Genoa first team as his loan spell at Stadio Luigi Ferraris edges towards to a conclusion. The right wing-back did start on the bench for Genoa last Saturday but he came on at the break to help his team turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 win.
Genoa are now 11th in the standings and fourth points off Torino in 10th following their latest victory. They do face a very tricky end to the season, however, with Roma and high-flying Bologna still to come.
Spence has made 14 appearances for the Italian club with an even split between starts and coming on as a substitute.
Sergio Reguilon (Brentford)
Sergio Reguilon's January loan switch to Brentford has proved to be a good move for all parties with the Spaniard featuring week in, week out for the Bees. The left-back played his part once again last weekend as he played the full 90 minutes as the west London club recorded an impressive 2-1 win away at Bournemouth.
The full-back's time at Brentford will come to an end on Sunday afternoon when Thomas Frank's side take on Newcastle United at home.
Alejo Veliz (Sevilla)
After finally returning to the pitch for the first time since the start of March with six minutes in Sevilla's 3-0 with over Granada 11 days ago, Alejo Veliz was an unused substitute in their 3-2 defeat away at Villarreal last Saturday. Part of the 23-man squad for Wednesday evening's home game against Cadiz, Veliz once again didn't make it off the bench as the visitors won 1-0 courtesy of Sergi Guardiola's 96th-minute winner.
After such a frustrating loan spell in Andalusia so far with limited minutes coming his way, the striker will have his fingers crossed that he at least features in the Athletic Bilbao and Barcelona games before making his returning to Tottenham.
Troy Parrott (Excelsior Rotterdam)
Troy Parrott enjoyed quite the weekend as he helped Excelsior Rotterdam to three vital points in their quest to stay in the Eredivisie. Taking on fellow strugglers Heracles, the Republic of Ireland international got two goals to his name in a 4-0 victory.
Opening the scoring in first-half stoppage-time with a simple finish from point-blank range, the 22-year-old then added a second in the 66th minute with a similar finish yards from goal. Parrott's double has taken him to 10 goals and four assists across 27 games in all competitions for Excelsior.
The Dutch club now face a crunch final game of the season away at city rivals Feyenoord on Sunday as they look to avoid a relegation play-off game. Currently on the same amount of points as RKC Waalwijk, their rivals are away to league champions on the final day.
Joe Rodon (Leeds United)
Thursday night is going to be huge for Joe Rodon and Leeds United as they head into the second leg of their Championship play-off semi-final against Norwich City. All square at 0-0 from the first tie, Leeds have home advantage and that could prove crucial as they look to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Rodon fared very well in Sunday's game at Carrow Road and scored a mark of eight out of 10 in Leeds Live's player ratings. They wrote: "Back to something like his domineering best. Josh Sargent had no change out of the defender all day. Dominant in the air on defensive set-pieces too. Spread the ball around well and even got forward with a few ambitious raids of his own."
If indeed Leeds are to make the final at Wembley, they will take on either Southampton or West Brom on Sunday, May 26.
Matthew Craig (Doncaster Rovers)
Matthew Craig's time at Doncaster Rovers has now come to an end following the team's elimination from the League Two play-offs. Putting such a good run together to move into the play-offs and looking on course for Wembley after beating Crewe Alexandra 2-0 in the first leg of the semi-finals, Rovers lost 2-0 at home on the night and 4-3 on penalties.
Craig unfortunately wasn't on the field for the penalty shootout after making way in the 101st minute of the contest. Not the way he wanted his Doncaster loan spell to come to an end, the midfielder proved to be a huge hit in South Yorkshire in his 20 appearances for the club.
The 21-year-old will now be looking to build on a really impressive first loan spell away from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as he bids to become a Spurs regular in the future.
