Past champion Max Homa withdraws during suspended Farmers Insurance Open
Perhaps the horn blowing was enough of a sign to call it a day for Max Homa.
The 2023 champion at Torrey Pines withdrew Thursday afternoon during the suspended second round of the Farmers Insurance Open. Homa, who was 4 over on his round and 9 over for the week, had three holes remaining in his second round on the North Course.

Homa's week got off to a rough start. He made a triple bogey on his opening hole, and even with a chip-in eagle on the par-5 sixth at the South Course on Wednesday, he couldn't recover. He made the decision to WD instead of waiting out the suspension of play due to high winds.
Homa's likely not the only player who will WD, either. Only 15 players of the 152 who teed off Friday had completed their round before the horn sounded, and those who aren't going to make the weekend may decide to WD instead of finishing in the blustery conditions.
