Paul George on making Hall of Fame: 'If it happens it happens, if it doesn't, it doesn't'

“I don’t know. I think I’m good with or without,” George said. “Obviously, you want the work and the longevity part of it to withstand the test of time and be able to be a part of that Hall of Fame.” For George, he's doesn't have his heart set on making it one day. “If it happens it happens it happens, if it doesn’t it doesn’t,” George said. “I think I had a generation of kids that enjoyed the way I played the game. My prime years, how I played the game, how I impacted the game, and that’s enough for me man. I’m going to continue to share and give back to the next generation of kids.”

“I’ve been getting some feedback as much as I can. The area is blocked off to go to my house. So, the people that are able to have been giving me feedback that the house is still standing,” Sixers’ Paul George to @andscape about his Pacific Palisades home. bit.ly/4hvZepR - 6:57 PM

Philadelphia #76ers forward Paul George has his heart, mind on communities impacted by wildfires. Nine-time #NBA All-Star has a home in the wildfire-affected Pacific Palisades area. @andscape bit.ly/4hvZepR - 2:33 PM

The winnable losses are piling up for the Sixers, who promptly melted down after Paul George fouled out on Sunday.

They are 15-22 @OnPattison:

Orlando is back in front with a minute and change to play. Paul George fouling out again has put all of the responsibility on Tyrese Maxey. - 8:32 PM

Austin Krell @NBAKrell

Might go down as Paul George's best game as a Sixer. But, the fouling trend continues. Not only do the Sixers have less talent on the floor, but one less spacer/ball-handler to make life easier for Maxey with 2:49 to go and Philly up by 3. - 8:29 PM

Derek Bodner @DerekBodnerNBA

Paul George hit a monster pull-up 3, then on the next possession gets caught in the air and commits his 6th foul. His night is over with 25 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists as the Sixers lead 94-93 with 2:49 left. - 8:28 PM

Kyle Neubeck @KyleNeubeck

Right as I was about to say Paul George was in the midst of a great offensive second half, he fouls out of the game with 2:49 left.

Exits with 25-10-6 - 8:28 PM

Adam Aaronson @SixersAdam

Big time pull-up three from Paul George to put the Sixers back in front with three minutes remaining. Gave him 25-10-6 on the night... and then he fouled out. Another completely confounding trend for George. - 8:27 PM

Dan Savage @Dan_Savage

Paul George picks up his sixth foul and his night is over.

That could prove to be highly significant. - 8:27 PM

Cody Taylor @CodyTaylorNBA

Paul George, with 25 points and 10 rebounds, has fouled out with 2:49 to play. - 8:27 PM

Adam Aaronson @SixersAdam

Paul George has five personal fouls with 4:10 left in the game. Sixers are up by three points. - 8:21 PM

After three: Sixers 77, Magic 73.

Paul George got going in that third quarter (11 points), and the Sixers needed it. Tyrese Maxey did not score after posting 22 points in the first half, but the Sixers won the quarter, 29-24.

George has already played 33 minutes. 27 for Maxey. - 7:58 PM

Derek Bodner @DerekBodnerNBA

Big third quarter from Paul George, who had 11 of his 19 points in that third quarter, as the Eagles defeat the Packers 22-10 to advance in the playoffs. - 7:57 PM

Austin Krell: "I love playing with Yabu, man. Yabu is a warrior. He plays hard. He does all the dirty work. Can shoot the three. Like, he's just been so consistent. He's so versatile. It's crazy that he's been out of the league." - Paul George on the latest episode of his podcast -via Bluesky / January 13, 2025

About 45 minutes after his game, a solemn Paul George refreshed an internet page on his cell phone on Sunday night to get an update on how the tragic Pacific Palisades fire had progressed in Los Angeles. At that moment the Philadelphia 76ers star’s home was “still standing” despite being about two blocks away from the fire. -via Andscape / January 13, 2025

“I’ve been getting some feedback as much as I can. The area is blocked off to go to my house. So, the people that are able to have been giving me feedback that the house is still standing. There are also apps that you can check to see where the fire is,” George told Andscape after the Sixers’ 104-99 road loss to the Orlando Magic on Sunday night. -via Andscape / January 13, 2025
