Newcastle United supporters have been having their say on the end of the transfer window. Clubs have until 11pm on Monday, February 3, to add to their squads.

Miguel Almiron's exit is drawing ever closer, with an emotional return to Atlanta United close to being finalised. The Chronicle understands that the winger is poised to jet back to the MLS outfit, ending his six-year association on Tyneside.

Matt Targett has also been linked with a move to Leeds United. However, Leeds Live are now reporting that the Championship side are not in the running to sign the defender.

However, in terms of incomings, it has been very quiet so far, but supporters having their say on Chronicle Live have suggested what they would like to see happen over the next few days.

Lordbaghdad remarked: "Tell Paul Mitchell that if Brentford don’t want to do a £10m loan with £40m obligation to buy for Mbeumo this January; then we should turn our attention to Santiago Simón at River Plate. That’s not much of a gamble. Tell Gentleman Jim that he can have £10m for Rashford. Tell him to pay off his contract and we will give him £140,000 p/w."

Axepete wrote: "I would be trying to sign James McAtee from City. Nobody has made a move for him and I reckon he could be the next Cole Palmer type of regret for Pep, if someone manages to get his signature."

Canuno72! said: "The only thing impacting us, is our inability to do business, either by getting rid of layers we don’t need, buy better ones, or anything."

And Jetx thinks: "Looks like we’ll be thwarted again because of the PL’s stupid rules. Hopefully we can get some business over the line before deadline day to help Eddie out."
