Paul Pogba has already given Man United transfer return verdict amid invitation message
Paul Pogba has been linked with a surprise return to Manchester United in what would be his third spell at Old Trafford.
The French midfielder returned to United in August 2016 for a record-breaking fee of £89million at the time. However, his second spell at the club was characterised by fluctuating performances and he left once more on a free transfer in June 2022.
Pogba subsequently left Juventus in November despite having his four-year ban reduced on appeal after testing positive for the prohibited substance DHEA. The 2018 World Cup winner is now poised to make a comeback to football in March and has been associated with a move to several clubs, including his former team.

Pogba's previous comments after re-joining the Reds almost a decade ago showed his love for United and his excitement at working under then-manager Jose Mourinho.
"I am delighted to rejoin United," he said in the summer of 2016. "It has always been a club with a special place in my heart and I am really looking forward to working with Mourinho.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Juventus and have some fantastic memories of a great club with players that I count as friends. But I feel the time is right to go back to Old Trafford.
"I always enjoyed playing in front of the fans and can't wait to make my contribution to the team. This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to in the game."
During his second spell at United, Pogba scored 39 goals and provided 48 assists over six years. He won two major trophies at M16, the League Cup and Europa League, both in 2017.
It comes after Rio Ferdinand said United should invite Pogba to train with them with a view to potentially earning a deal. He made those comments on the latest episode of Rio Presents.
Ferdinand said: "You'd like to think he would [be going somewhere]. Surely, he's got to go somewhere.
"Pogba at United? I'd go, 'Come in and train with us and let's see what you've got.' I'd do that. I would've done that already. I'd say, 'Come in and get fit, and let's have a little look.'"
