Paul Pogba shows true colours with David Beckham message amid Man United links
Paul Pogba's affinity for Manchester United evidently burns bright, based on his latest message waiting for his return to football - one that is also being interpreted as a hint to David Beckham and Inter Miami.
The ex-Man United midfielder has not kicked a ball professionally since the back end of the 2022/23 campaign. At first it was only injury barring him from playing, until August 2023 the Frenchman was eventually slapped with a suspension for discovery of an illegal substance in his system after a drugs test.
Pogba pleaded his innocence, though he was ruled guilty and handed a four-year ban from all football activity in February of last year. This was later reduced on appeal to only 18 months and since the turn of the year he has been training in the hope of finding a new club before returning to the game in March.

"There are proposals, some of which are interesting and some not so much. Russia and so on, there were proposals but that is not the 'goal'," Pogba stated most recently.
"We have other goals. A club that plays in the Champions League? Why not? If it comes, of course, why not? We always want to join the best clubs. After that, it doesn't depend on me, it depends on many other things."
Amongst the different clubs he has been rumoured to join, a third stint at Old Trafford has been one possibility touted.
And the man in question clearly has a deep love for the club, as in his latest Instagram post he was wearing the Man United 02/03 white away jersey.
This isn't being seen as a 'come and get me' plea to his former employers though, but rather to the man whose name is on the back.
Beckham is of course co-founder, co-owner and club president of MLS franchise Inter Miami, who emerged in 2018. Since, they have attracted global talent such as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets - to name only a few - towards the end of their careers.
Throughout the comment section of the above post, responders speculate or simply wish for Pogba to join the club as they suggest this is a subtle message to his fellow former Man United star.
Whilst they may not be able to offer the elite European football Pogba previously hinted towards desiring, Miami are competing at the top of the sport as part of this summer's revamped FIFA Club World Cup tournament.
