Paul Pogba steps up bid for return amid Manchester United reunion links
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has posted to his social media as he edges towards a return to professional football.
The World Cup winner showcased his rigorous workout with the prospect of a comeback nearing. He has been out of action since September 2023 following a provisional suspension after returning an adverse sample in a drugs test. Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) was found to be in his system and despite protestation of innocence from Pogba, he was handed a four-year ban which was reduced to 18 months on appeal.
Pogba has been dubbed to return to competitive football in March but has been without a club since leaving Juventus. He has been in Miami preparing for his comeback, while some rumours have suggested he could return to Old Trafford.

Throughout recent months, since it has been known the midfielder will be coming back sooner than expected, he has been linked with numerous clubs.
The Athletic reported that Pogba was going through his paces in Miami ahead of the January transfer window. The desire for Pogba is to sign for a new club this winter so he can start preparing for a competitive return in March.
There are believed to be a number of interested clubs wanting Pogba to join them and Ligue 1 side Marseille have been strongly linked with a possible switch. Head coach Roberto De Zerbi has previously claimed that he would make room for "champions".
"I would like to have only champions in my team. Pogba has always been a champion, but honestly, during my discussions with staff, we have never spoken about it," said the Italian.
"In January, we especially need to find players for the needs we have. Obviously, if champions arrive, we will try to find space and make sure they can live together.
"That would absolutely not be a problem for me. When you have top players, it's not my problem but that of the opponents."
