Paul Scholes urges Man United transfer fire-sale as Ineos told to sanction eight exits
Paul Scholes has offered a brutal verdict on who he would keep and sell at Manchester United.
The Reds are enduing a difficult season with United 13th in the top-flight standings, which is their lowest position after 22 games in Premier League history. Ruben Amorim arrived at Old Trafford in November but has, so far, been unable to significantly improve results since his predecessor, Erik ten Hag, was sacked in October.
Amorim's struggles at M16 have seem him go as far as suggesting that they "might" be the worst team in United's history. A major rebuild is expected at the Reds to restore them to their former glory.

In a video posted via TNT Sport's social media channels, former United star Scholes shared his belief that the Reds should only look to keep goalkeeper Andre Onana, midfielder Kobbie Mainoo and forward Alejandro Garnacho. On Onana, he said, "I think I'd keep him. There's more to come from him, but I'd keep him."
With Mainoo, he said: "One of the brightest talents this club has got. Keep." When asked about Garnacho, he was less sure, but replied: "Still young. Can still get better. Tough one. Just about keep."
Both Mainoo and Garnacho have been linked with moves away from United. Chelsea are keen on the pair - with United understood to be open to selling Academy graduates to help boost their PSR situation - while Italian club Napoli are also interested in the Argentine.
When asked who he would choose to sell, Scholes selected eight first-team players. Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Casemiro, Antony, Joshua Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford should all be sold, according to Scholes, as the United great did not hold back.
