Paul Warne is open to adding to his Derby County squad through free agents and three are set to be discussed.

Derby can still add signings from unattached players and are considering doing business having failed to add to their attack on deadline day. Two are believed to be domestic players while one is from the European market.

Warne said: "There are three we are looking at today which the recruiters have narrowed down. It's a minefield, let me just put it out there.

"I know there's always extenuating circumstances so I don't want the headline Warne says no to someone who hasn't played for six months and then I signed two of them.

"If a player didn't get a club in the summer, and then didn't get a club again in January, and I think they're good enough to play in the Championship there has to be a lot of other massive ticks.

"In fairness, if we bring someone in now who hasn't trained within a first-team environment for nine months or something, it's going to take three or four weeks.

"It's going to be in March before you can use them. However, that doesn't mean I'm not looking because I am. I know Kane Wilson isn't going to come back for another three or four weeks.

"Ryan Nyambe is back, he is still a little bit sore, but he is back. We definitely need some cover in those areas."
