Pep Guardiola confirms double Man City injury blows before Chelsea showdown
Pep Guardiola has confirmed Manchester City duo Ruben Dias and Jeremy Doku will miss Saturday's Premier League showdown with Chelsea.
Dias asked to be replaced as Man City lost to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night, having only recently recovered from a muscle issue.
Doku, meanwhile, sat out of City’s defeat to PSG and will not return for the visit of the Blues on Saturday evening.
“Ruben Dias has an adductor injury,” confirmed the City boss.
“I don't know how long he'll be out for.
“He's been stable and able to play a lot of games, but this season it is what it is.”
New signings Omar Marmoush, Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov will all be in the squad ahead of potential debuts as City look to reclaim fourth spot in the Premier League table.
“We haven't trained much because of travelling,” added Guardiola.
“Omar Marmoush trained with us on Thursday, the others a little bit but not altogether.
“Vitor is young, he has a huge personality. He needs time. Khusanov has already settled, and playing in the French league he has handled tough, quick, fast players.
“He doesn't speak much English so communication is something we'll have to deal with. Omar will adapt quickly.”
Rodri, Oscar Bobb and Nathan Ake are also all out for City.
