So, who is Darius Slay's wife? Here's everything to know about Jennifer Slay and her relationship with the NFL star.
She played basketball in college
After graduating from Clinton High School in 2012, Jennifer continued her basketball journey at the collegiate level. She showcased her athletic prowess as a standout guard for both Northeastern and Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SOSU), per her athlete bio.
Jennifer transferred between the schools after her sophomore season. In 2014, she won SOSU's athlete of the week award.
Darius and Jennifer started dating in 2015
Darius and Jennifer's love story began in 2015. At the time, she was completing her senior year at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where she played Division II basketball.
The couple have not shared when they got married but Jennifer posted a sixth-anniversary tribute for Darius in 2024.
They both welcomed children in their teen years
Before they met, both Darius and Jennifer had children from previous relationships. According to his biography on the Eagles’ website, Darius became a father at just 15 years old when his oldest son, Darion, was born.
Reflecting on this early responsibility, Darius noted that his firstborn encouraged him to improve and shoot for the NFL. He also has a second son, Demetrius, who was born in 2015.
Jennifer welcomed a son named Trent in 2011. The Slays have embraced their blended family, and Jennifer has been instrumental in supporting their large crew.
Darius recalled to the Detroit Free Press in 2016 that she is a "stress reliever" at home and often assisted Darion with his schoolwork.
She and Darius share two kids together
Darius and Jennifer added to their family in 2017 when they welcomed Desirae. Four years later, the couple had their son, Desmond, in 2021.
Jennifer shares moments from their lives on social media and often makes comments about raising her children on X. “The lengths I go for my kids,” she wrote in February 2025.
On Desmond’s first birthday in 2022, she posted a sweet message, writing, "Screaming Happy Birthday to my lil warrior baby! You’ve been through a lot this past year my love, but you’re the strongest lil guy!"
Jennifer supports Darius both on and off the field
Jennifer has always been one of Darius’ biggest supporters. In the beginning stages of their relationship, in 2016, Jennifer posted “I'm obsessed with my bf. 💁♀️ I see no problem here...🤪,” on X.
She frequently shares her excitement on game days and proudly reps the Philadelphia Eagles on her X account, but being in the spotlight as an NFL wife also comes with challenges.
After the team faced a tough losing streak in December 2023, Jennifer pushed back against the negativity she received online, reminding critics that she wasn’t the one playing the game.
“The amount of negativity I get is honestly sickening," she wrote on X. "I be tryna be so positive on this app and spread so much love for me to get so much hate."
Despite this, Jennifer remains a loyal and vocal supporter of her husband and his entire team. Many fans also rallied around her 2023 post, encouraging her to keep supporting Darius.
She makes banana pudding for the Eagles
Jennifer’s support for her husband and the Eagles goes beyond just cheering from the stands and platforms — sometimes, it comes in the form of banana pudding.
She started making the dessert while Darius was playing for the Detroit Lions, using a recipe she learned from Elise Tate, the wife of his former teammate, Golden Tate. The dessert quickly became a locker room favorite, and when Darius was traded to Philadelphia, Jennifer decided to keep the tradition going.
“It kind of turned into a thing there,” she told The Athletic in 2023. “And then when we got here with the Eagles, I’m like, ‘You know what, why not keep the tradition going?’ Because it was something I enjoy and also something Slay enjoyed because he could brag about it: ‘My wife’s banana pudding is so good!’ ”
Her dessert has earned rave reviews from Eagles players, including Jason Kelce, Jalen Hurts and Jordan Mailata.
Safety Marcus Epps told The Athletic, “Any time she makes the banana pudding for the group, it makes my day" and defensive tackle Javon Hargrave added, “I told him [Darius] he’s gotta keep the banana pudding coming (because the Eagles are winning).”
