Philippe Clement warned Rangers rebuild talk won’t shield him - how 5 VIP pundits see beleaguered manager’s Ibrox future
Under-fire Philippe Clement is facing massive pressure to keep his job after Queen's Park sent Rangers crashing out of the Scottish Cup.
The Light Blues now face the prospect of a trophyless campaign after crashing out of the Scottish Cup against the Scottish Championship side after substitute Sebastian Drozd netted a second half winner at Ibrox. James Tavernier was given the chance to level from the penalty spot in injury time - but Callum Ferrie saved the Rangers captain's effort from 12 yards.
The stunning exit at the hands of Callum Davidson's men follows defeat in the League Cup final to Celtic - with the Hoops already holding a whopping 13 point lead in the Premiership title race. The Europa League has offered the Ibrox faithful some relief from a dismal campaign but defeat to Queen's Park appeared to be the final straw for some with boos ringing out at the full-time whistle.

But how do the pundits see if after a disastrous day for the Glasgow giants? Record Sport takes a look.
Alan Hutton
"The result is terrible for Rangers as a club. There is no getting away from that fact. The gap in the league, losing the League Cup, now this - the one shining light is the European performances. I have always said it's going to be an up and down season - he speaks about a rebuild but how long are we going to speak about a rebuild? One season, two seasons - it is what it is. That wasn't good enough. It's quite as simple as that. He talks about the substitutes - I think Bailey Rice has to stay on for the 90 minutes, learn from it. He has hit the panic button at half-time and decided I need to get Raskin on, I need to get Dessers on and I need to win the game.
"I still believe, though, they will stick with him. I think they believe the rinse and repeat of changing managers has to stop at some stage, so I do believe they will stick with him. But I do believe it's a results driven business, and at this moment in time that's not good enough."
Marvin Bartley
"He will do well to (keep his job). You cannot lose to Queen's Park. I am not being disrespectful, you cannot be a Rangers manager and lose at home to Queen's Park and get knocked out of the cup when for me it's the last chance of winning a trophy. The players will take some responsibility but ultimately it's the manager who is forced out of clubs when things aren't going right. The fans are absolutely raging today, and rightly so."
Chris Sutton
"Well played Queens Park and Callum Ferrie. And Rangers were progressing so well under big Phil…"
Derek Ferguson
"This is why Philippe Clement comes under serious threat to losing his job. He's got to win games like this with the quality that the manager has got at his disposal. Rangers have only won - out of the last 27 trophies on offer - we have have only won three. It's not a good stat...
The former Ibrox man is then corrected that the numbers are three out of 42 if this season is included on BBC Sportsound: "I stand corrected"
Ian McCall then chimed in: "So St Johnstone in that time have won the same amount of trophies?"
Ian McCall
Former Rangers and Queen's Park star McCall also added: "Queen's Park should not be forgotten in this story. Heroic, to a man!"
