Plymouth Argyle appoint Austrian set piece coach until end of season
Plymouth Argyle have brought in 43-year-old former Austrian professional goalkeeper Hubert Auer in the new role of set piece coach.
Head coach Miron Muslic has made the move because of the Pilgrims' continued struggles to score goals, or even create clear cut chances, from corners and free kicks over recent times.
Argyle have struggled to get goals throughout this season and Muslic hopes Auer can play his part in making them more threatening at set pieces.

Muslic said: "Set pieces have become a really important part of the game in the past few years and I am really happy to bring Hubert in to focus specifically on improving our set pieces both from an attacking and defending point of view.
"We are all aware we have not scored enough goals from set pieces this season and we hope to change that with Hubert’s input and expertise. I want to welcome him to Argyle and look forward to seeing the influence he has on the team."
Auer's appointment is subject to receiving a visa and work permit. He will support the work of assistant head coach Adin Osmanbasic, first team coaches Eddie Lattimore and Kevin Nancekivell, and goalkeeping coach Darryl Flahavan.
Argyle are the Championship's second lowest scorers with 29 goals from 30 games. Only Stoke City with 28 have netted fewer times than the Pilgrims while Luton Town and Millwall both have one more than them.
Nineteen of Argyle's goals have come from open play. There have been two penalties, two own goals, one from a counter attack and five from set pieces.
The Pilgrims' total from set pieces is the joint lowest in the Championship with Blackburn Rovers and Leeds United, although the latter are comfortably the top scorers in the division with 62 goals.
There are seven teams who have 10+ goals from set pieces, led by Luton on 14 and followed by Derby County with 13. Millwall, Oxford United, Queens Park Rangers, Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion all have 10.
