Plymouth Argyle linked to loan deal for Poland international left-back
Plymouth Argyle are reported to be working on the final details of a loan deal for Poland international left-back Tymoteusz Puchacz from German Bundesliga club Holstein Kiel until the end of the season.
The information has come from Warsaw-based journalist Tomasz Wlodarczyk and according to him, Derby County, Hull City and Stoke City have also been interested in signing Puchacz. The 25-year-old joined newly-promoted Holstein Kiel last summer and has made five starts and five substitute appearances in the Bundesliga this season. He has also played twice in the German Cup.
Puchacz is used to loan spells after spending time at Trabzonspor in Turkey and Greek club Panathinaikos while he was on the books at German side Union Berlin.

Wlodarczyk reported on the Polish football website Mczyki today: "According to our information, he is one step away from Plymouth. The parties are currently working on the final details of the loan. If they reach an agreement, Puchacz's move to the British Isles could be officially confirmed in the coming days."
He added: "Plymouth are currently starting to clean up after (Wayne) Rooney's failed tenure. The goal is clear - to stay on the second front (the Championship). Puchacz is to be one of several new players who will help to achieve this task. For the Pole, it will be a new beginning and another market to showcase his abilities."
Left-back has been a problem position for Argyle all season, with Bali Mumba often playing out of position on that side of the pitch, so an experienced, international calibre player such as Puchacz, who has played 15 times for Poland, would undoubtedly strengthen the squad for whoever the next head coach is.
Wlodarczyk first reported in December that Puchacz was set to leave Holstein Kiel on loan in the winter transfer window, when German club FC Kaiserslautern and Istanbul Basaksehir were linked with him.
Puchacz was part of Poland's squad for the 2024 European Championship in Germany but was an unused substitute for their three group games as they failed to advance to the knockout stages. He last played for Holstein Kiel as a substitute in a 3-1 defeat away to FC St Pauli on November 29.
