Pilgrims' hero Nikola Katic dropped a star performance against Liverpool FC at Home Park - and then a jubilant F-bomb on live TV. The defender left the watching millions in no doubt about what the seismic win in the FA Cup meant.

"I f****** love it. I f****** love it," he told a reporter for ITV after the match had ended. It left millions at home asking the question 'Did he just say what I think he said?'

Even goalkeeper Conor Hazard who produced his own match-saving display on Saturday couldn't contain a smile. Back in the studio presenter Mark Pougatch offered a gentle apology for the industrial language.

For Argyle fans it summed up the passion of a perfect day of football and few could argue the defender had earned his right to say what he liked after a warrior's performance.

After 20 minutes Katic was left lying on the deck after contact with one of his Argyle teammates. A few minutes later he was back on his feet - minus a tooth that had been dislodged in the encounter.

When the camera panned to his manager Miron Muslic he was seen smiling and laughing.

The dental gap was visible after the final whistle when he gave his interview. The centre half's comments have delighted X users.

Many were accompanied with laughing emojis. Other comments included: "Quality."
