Plymouth Argyle player ratings from battling draw at Sunderland
Here are the player ratings of Plymouth Live's Argyle reporter Chris Errington from the Pilgrims' 2-2 draw against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. You can give your marks too using our special widget further down this story.
Conor Hazard 7 - Started a game for the first time under Miron Muslic after missing the previous three due to an injury. Made several good saves, the pick of which was from Dan Neil's fierce first half strike which the Argyle 'keeper did well to push away as he dived to his right.
Julio Pleguezuelo 7 - Booked for a first half foul on Sunderland's lively French attacker Enzo Le Fee so had to be careful with his challenges after that, which he was. Miron Muslic explained after the game that Pleguezuelo had been substituted in the closing stages due to a knee injury and the hope will obviously be that it is nothing serious.

Victor Palsson 7 - It has been a tough season for Iceland international with more bad displays than good when he has been called upon but this was one of his better ones. He shows good organisational qualities when playing in the centre of a defensive trio as he did against Sunderland.
Tymoteusz Puchacz 7 - Came to Argyle with the reputation for being a player who likes to get in a lot of crosses and in a short space of time there has been plenty of evidence of that already. Puchacz was heavily involved in this way in the late pressure the Pilgrims applied on Sunderland which led to them getting a 90th minute equaliser.
Matty Sorinola 7 - The right wing-back had trouble at times in the first half with Sunderland's Enzo Le Fee, who is on loan from Italian Serie A side Roma, running in behind him but he dealt with that better as the game went on and again showed the endeavour that has made him so popular with the Green Army.
Adam Randell 7 - After some recent below-par performances from Randell this was much more like it from him. With Jordan Houghton alongside in central midfield he seemed to be able to play a little further forward, and in the closing stages of the game when it was still 2-1 to Sunderland he came close to getting an equaliser with a flicked header which went not far wide.
Jordan Houghton 8 - It was a very close call for the 'Star Man' selection, it could have gone to a number of the Argyle players, but Houghton put in a tremendous shift in just his fifth Championship start of the season. Made one terrific, probable goal-saving tackle on Sunderland's Dennis Cirkin early in the second half which exemplified his determined display.
Bali Mumba 7 - It will have meant a lot to Mumba to be part of this battling Argyle performance against the club where he began his career and he more than played his part in it. He cut out the mistakes which have been an issue for him in some games recently. Played most of the match at left wing-back but moved inside into the centre of defence in the closing stages after Julio Pleguezuelo was taken off.
Mustapha Bundu 7 - Played in one of the two 'number 10 roles' in Argyle's 3-4-2-1 formation as he and Callum Wright were brought into the team by Miron Muslic in place of Rami Al Hajj and Michael Baidoo. Provided on outstanding cross early in the second half from which Ryan Hardie should have scored but, instead, sent a glancing header wide of the far post.
Callum Wright 7 - Came so close to getting his first Argyle goal since April 2023 when the score was 1-1 in the 70th minute. Wright got in behind the Sunderland defence and his low angled drive was touched onto the inside of the far post by goalkeeper Anthony Patterson before the ball rolled back across just inches in front of the goal-line and was eventually cleared.
Ryan Hardie 7 - Will have been disappointed not to finish off the cross from Mustapha Bundu which would have put Argyle 1-0 up because it was such a good chance but he has not been used to getting decent opportunities like that in recent matches. Has often got goals in flurries during his five years with the Pilgrims so just needs one to get him going.
SUBSTITUTES
Michael Baidoo 6 - The club's record signing dropped to the bench after starting the previous four. Was a 65th minute substitute for Ryan Hardie, with Mustapha Bundu moving forward to lead the attack for a brief time before he was also taken off.
Rami Al Hajj 6 - Miron Muslic made a quadruple substitution in the 77th minute, although it was probably the 79th minute by the time all the changes had been made! Al Hajj was sent on for Callum Wright, who had been in a good hard-working shift.
Darko Gyabi 7 - Replaced Jordan Houghton and provided Argyle with an extra attacking threat. He headed wide when well positioned to score from a well-delivered Tymoteusz Puchacz free-kick into the Sunderland box and then came up with the assist for the 90th minute equaliser.
Nathanael Ogbeta 7 - The scorer of that aforementioned equaliser was Ogbeta, who has struggled in his first season at Argyle but got his name in the headlines on this occasion after a superb finish high into the net after the ball was flicked on by Darko Gyabi.
Muhamed Tijani 7 - It was good for the powerful Nigerian forward to get some minutes as he played for the first time since the end of September after a long-term hamstring injury. He gave the Sunderland defence some uncomfortable moments too and is the type of physical presence in attack that Argyle have been lacking all season.
Substitutes (not used): Dan Grimshaw, Ibrahim Cissoko, Caleb Roberts, Freddie Issaka.
