Here are the player ratings of Plymouth Live's Argyle reporter Chris Errington from the Pilgrims' 1-0 defeat by Queens Park Rangers at Home Park. You can give your marks too using our special widget further down this story.

Dan Grimshaw 8 STAR MAN - Made two outstanding one-on-one saves either side of half-time to prevent QPR's powerful striker Michael Frey from putting the visitors ahead. Grimshaw made another good stop when Ilias Chair broke clear in the 65th minute but the ball ended up back with the QPR attacker and he was able to set up Rayan Kolli to slot home.

Bali Mumba 4 - Made a very costly mistake when QPR went on the counter attack and scored in the 65th minute. The right-back tried to control the ball as it dropped to him inside Rangers territory but his poor first touch allowed Ilias Chair to race away.

Julio Pleguezuelo 6 - One of only two fit centre-backs available to Miron Muslic, which was why the Argyle head coach switched from a 3-4-2-1 formation to 4-2-3-1 against QPR. Muslic excused Pleguezuelo from his post-match criticism of the Pilgrims' 'lack of physicality' as he praised his determination to 'compete in every single duel' against Michael Frey.

Victor Palsson 4 - Needed to be more dominant in his defending, but the same could be said about virtually everyone in a green shirt. Was caused quite a few problems by the lively Paul Smyth.

Tymoteusz Puchacz 5 - Had a good start to the game playing at left-back as he showed good determination to get up and down that side of the pitch but as QPR gradually got on top there was less and less of him attacking, and more and more of him having to defend.

Adam Randell 4 - The captain could not get to grips with the game from his central midfield role at any stage as QPR had much the better of that area of the pitch.

Darko Gyabi 4 - Had a very ineffective first half and did not reappear for the start of the second half as he was replaced by Jordan Houghton.

Morgan Whittaker 4 - What a difference a week can make. He was Argyle's match winning hero in the Emirates FA Cup win at Brentford last Saturday but contributed hardly anything against QPR.

Michael Baidoo 4 - After playing his first two games for the Pilgrims as a striker, this time Baidoo was in the centre of an attacking trio behind Ryan Hardie, but made very little impact on the match.

Rami Al Hajj 4 - Had Argyle's one shot on target, which was a clever back heel in the first half but was also a simple save for QPR 'keeper Paul Nardi. Otherwise, he rarely provided any attacking threat.

Ryan Hardie 4 - Returned from a shoulder injury to play up front but apart from one shot early in the second half which was deflected wide for a corner he did not have any sights of goal.

SUBSTITUTES

Jordan Houghton 4 - A half-time replacement for Darko Gyabi. Received Argyle's one yellow card of the match for shoving over Paul Smyth as he raced down the right touchline.

Callum Wright 4 - Was sent on for Rami Al Hajj in the 59th minute. Tried one ambitious curling shot from distance which was not too far off target but that was his only involvement of note.

Mustapha Bundu 4 - Replaced Ryan Hardie in the 73rd minute and played as a striker. He should have been able to get on the end of a late Morgan Whittaker cross into the six-yard area but did not seem to sense the scoring opportunity and, as a result, was not in the right place.

Ibrahim Cissoko - Was an 80th minute substitute for Michael Baidoo but could not spark Argyle into attacking life either.

Matty Sorinola - Took over at right-back from Bali Mumba in the 80th minute

Substitutes (not used): Zak Baker, Nathanael Ogbeta, Caleb Roberts, Freddie Issaka.
