Plymouth Argyle ratings as post-Wayne Rooney era begins with Bristol City draw
Here are the player ratings of Plymouth Live's Argyle reporter Chris Errington from the Pilgrims' 2-2 draw against Bristol City at Home Park. You can give your marks too using our special widget further down this story.
Conor Hazard 6 - Was outside his penalty area when beaten to a City through ball by Nahki Wells, who then set up Anis Mehmeti to open the scoring in the 32nd minute. Hazard made a superb save from a first-time volley by Wells early in the second period. Then, after Argyle had equalised, Jason Knight soon restored the Robins' lead as he broke into the box and cleverly flicked the ball over the advancing 'keeper.
Kornel Szucs 6 - Much more like it from Szucs after some below-par performances. He lined up on the right side of the defensive trio in a new 3-4-2-1 formation devised for this match by Kevin Nancekivell and Joe Edwards.

Julio Pleguezuelo 7 - Recalled to the starting line-up with Lewis Gibson watching from the directors' area of the Lower Mayflower Grandstand after being ruled out by an injury. Had a good game defensively and came up with the crucial last-gasp equaliser for the Pilgrims when he reacted fastest after City failed to clear a free-kick into their penalty area from Adam Randell.
Brendan Galloway 6 - After a couple of tough games at left-back in a four-man defence, against Coventry City's Tatsuhiro Sakamoto and Oxford United's Przemyslaw Placheta, Galloway was much more assured playing on the left of the defensive trio.
Matty Sorinola 8 STAR MAN - It has been a real up and down season for Sorinola, who did not even make it into matchday squads earlier this season when Argyle were not so injury hit. Yet his performances against Oxford and in this draw with Bristol City have been full of commitment, and some skill too. He put in a number of excellent crosses playing in a right wing-back role. No wonder he was suffering from what looked like cramp in he closing seconds of the game.
Darko Gyabi 6 - City have a strong central midfield pairing in Max Bird and Jason Knight so it was hard work for Gyabi and Adam Randell going up against them but especially in the first half they more than held their own.
Adam Randell 6 - Captain for the day with Lewis Gibson sat in the stands. Covered a lot of ground in the central areas of the pitch and it was from his well-flighted free-kick in added time at the end of the match that Argyle were able to get their second goal when City could not clear the ball away.
Bali Mumba 6 - Has played in so many different positions for Argyle this season. This time it was a wide left attacking role, which allowed him to cause quite a few problems for City in the first half but not so much in the second period when Argyle had more defending to do.
Morgan Whittaker 7 - Arguably the best performance from Whittaker for quite some time, even before the toe injury which kept him out of action from late November until the game at Oxford on Sunday. Got himself into some good shooting positions playing in one of the two 'number 10' roles, rather than out wide on the right. He could not get on the scoresheet but it was encouraging to see him look more like his old self.
Rami Al Hajj 7 - Argyle's formation, including two 'number 10s' seemed to suit Al Hajj, who was much more involved than in many of his games this season. He showed some excellent touches on the ball and deserved to get his second Argyle goal since joining them in August when he swept the ball home after a deep cross from Morgan Whittaker. This is something for him to build on.
Ryan Hardie 6 - You can never question his work-rate, even with stitches still in a badly gashed knee. He will know he should have done better with an early scoring chance in the match when he was slightly off balance as he blasted the ball over the bar after a Rami Al Hajj shot had been beaten away by Max O'Leary.
SUBSTITUTES
Michael Obafemi 6 - Had missed the previous two matches due to a groin problem but made his return as a 72nd minute substitute for Ryan Hardie.
Ibrahim Cissoko 6 - Another positive for Argyle to come out of this match was getting Cissoko back out on the pitch as a 75th minute replacement for Bali Mumba. Showed some glimpses of his trickery on the ball and the step-overs which wowed the Green Army before he suffered his long-term hamstring injury in mid-October. It will take him time to get up to full speed but this was a good beginning.
Andre Gray - The experienced striker was an 86th minute substitute for Rami Al Hajj. Gray's short-term contract with the Pilgrims ends on Friday so this could have been his last game for the club.
Substitutes (not used): Dan Grimshaw, Nathanael Ogbeta, Jordan Houghton, Adam Forshaw, Tegan Finn, Victor Palsson.
