A special gym in Colchester designated for rock climbing is celebrating its seven-year anniversary with a special competition.

The Colchester Climbing Project, located at the Global Park in Moorside, is hosting a special event to celebrate its birthday.

At the Birthday Boulder Battle, climbers of all ages are invited to showcase their skills.

The event will take place this Saturday, starting with a qualifying round at 11am for those less experienced, and a second round at 1.30pm, with the finals taking place at 6pm.

Entry is £20 and anyone interested can sign up online to secure a spot.
