PREMIER LEAGUE: Chelsea fans express their delight on Twitter as Ivanovic suffers injury
Stamford Bridge 'faithful' look on the bright side after Branislav Ivanovic is forced off during Serbia's 2-0 win in Albania
Pity poor Branislav Ivanovic.
The player whose absence from the 2012 Champions League final because of suspension was cruelly ‘revealed’ to him by Sky reporter Geoff Shreeves has sparked huge celebrations among Chelsea fans because he is injured.
The Serbian defender’s form has come in for criticism this season as the Blues have shipped 17 Premier League goals in eight matches.
But Ivanovic’s season took an even bigger dip on Thursday when he suffered a hamstring injury playing for Serbia in Albania and had to go off in the first half.
Chelsea fans took to twitter to ‘bemoan’ the fate of their full back, some joking it could be the turning point of their season.
With friends like that, Ivanovic doesn’t need enemies, as the tweets below prove.

Beyond embarrassing to see people who purport to be Chelsea fans happy about one of "their" players, Branislav Ivanovic, getting injured.
