Premier League Darts 2025 line-up confirmed as huge Chris Dobey decision made
The line-up for the 2025 Premier League Darts has now been confirmed - with that eight-man event set to kick-off at The SSE Arena, Belfast on Thursday, February 6 and conclude at The O2, London on Thursday, May 29. Fresh from his historic World Championship victory, Luke Littler is among eight players selected for the Premier League.
The 17-year-old claimed the Sid Waddell Trophy at Alexandra Palace on Friday night - beating Michael van Gerwen 7-2 - earning £500,000 in prize money and moving up to second in the PDC Order of Merit.
Also included is world No.1 Luke Humphries who, even despite his surprise last-16 exit at the World Championship, remains one of the favourites having lost to Littler in the 2024 final last May. Van Gerwen, ranked as the third best player globally, will also return to the Premier League stage - a tournament he has won seven times, most recently in 2023 after defeating Welshman Gerwyn Price 11-5.

Rob Cross, similar to Humphries, didn't experience the World Championship he had hoped for after being knocked out in the second round by Scott Williams. However, he is part of the Premier League.
'Voltage' ended up sixth last year, with his best performance coming in 2019 when he made it all the way to the final - only then to lose to an unstoppable Van Gerwen 11-5. After his remarkable journey to the semi-final, at Ally Pally, Fazakerley-born and crowd favourite Stephen Bunting is ready for his first-ever Premier League appearance.
'The Bullet' was impressive in 2024 and now has another opportunity to shine. Bedlington favourite Chris Dobey is, meanwhile, preparing for a return to the Premier League after a two-year absence. 'Hollywood' finished seventh in 2023 and is undoubtedly going to thrill fans, particularly in Newcastle, upon his return to this stage.
Following his performance at the World Championship, Dobey is currently ranked tenth in the world.
Another high-profile player in the Premier League is Price. 'The Iceman' staged a revival in the World Championship following a disappointing 2024, reaching the quarter-final before losing to Dobey.
Price has participated in the Premier League six times, making it to the final in 2023.
The last player to join the eight-man line-up is Nathan Aspinall. Known as 'The Asp', he had a challenging 2024 due to dartitis, but made an impressive comeback at the World Championship - reaching the quarter-final and securing his place in the Premier League.
