Premier League table 2021/22: Latest standings, fixtures, results for gameweek 6
Already this weekend’s fixtures have thrown up some significant results at the top of the Premier League table.
In Saturday’s two early kick-offs, Manchester City ended Chelsea’s unbeaten start to the season, while Manchester United also suffered their first defeat of the campaign as they lost at home to Aston Villa.
Later on, Norwich travelled to face Everton looking to finally pick up their first point of the season but were beaten to make it six defeats in a row, while fellow newcomers Watford were held to a draw at home by struggling Newcastle.
West Ham took their excellent form to Elland Road to beat a Leeds United side yet to hit the highs of last season, with Burnley’s trip to Leicester resulting in an entertaining 2-2 draw.
In the evening game, Brentford continued their superb start to the season by holding Liverpool to a thrilling 3-3 draw.
Sunday’s games start with Southmapton against Wolves at St. Mary’s before the first north London derby of the season as Tottenham go to Arsenal.
The week’s fixtures conclude with another derby on Monday night as Crystal Palace welcome high-flying Brighton to Selhurst Park.
