Premier League table 2023-24: Latest standings, fixtures and results for matchday 28

Arsenal are top of the Premier League table with 10 games to go after they beat Brentford and Liverpool drew with Manchester City.

The Gunners were made to wait before Kai Havertz struck an 86th-minute winner against Brentford, moving Mikel Arteta’s side back to the summit for the first time since Christmas.

On Sunday, John Stones and Alexis Mac Allister exchanged the goals as Liverpool and City drew at Anfield.

That means Arsenal’s advantage is merely one of goal difference over Jurgen Klopp’s side, with City a point further back.

Tottenham cut the gap on top-four rivals Aston Villa earlier that day with a big win over Unai Emery’s side at Villa Park. Spurs ran out 4-0 winners after a scintillating second-half display.

West Ham fought back from two goals down to draw at home to struggling Burnley, while Brighton saw off Nottingham Forest.

Manchester United opened the weekend of action with a 2-0 win over Everton after Alejandro Garnacho won penalties for both Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford to convert.

There was a win for Wolves over Fulham and draws between Bournemouth and Sheffield United and Crystal Palace and Luton.

A Chelsea team under huge pressure from a fanbase who appear to be turning rounded off the action by beating Newcastle 3-2 on Monday night.
