Premier League table 2024-25: Latest standings, fixtures and results after Man City lose again
Liverpool can open up a huge lead at the top of the Premier League table on Sunday.
Already five points clear, the Reds saw Premier League Manchester City champions fall to a dismal 4-0 defeat at home to Tottenham on Saturday evening, a result that could also open the door for Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s side got back to winning ways by beating Nottingham Forest 3-0 at home earlier on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Crystal Palace dropped more points in a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, while Fulham were thrashed 4-1 at home by Wolves. Brentford, meanwhile, claimed their first away point of the season in a 0-0 draw at Everton.
Chelsea had first beaten Leicester 2-1 on Saturday to put further pressure on the top three.
Sunday then sees the League leaders look to pick up where they left off when they travel down to the struggling Southampton. Later that day, the Ruben Amorim era begins at Manchester United with a trip to Ipswich.
West Ham’s trip to Newcastle on Monday rounds off the action.
