PREP BASEBALL: Milford gets past Covington

Apr. 18—MILFORD — The Milford baseball team broke a 2-2 tie with six runs in the fifth inning to beat Covington 8-3 on Thursday.

Gavin Schunke had two hits and one RBI for the Bearcats, while Caleb Clutteur had a solo home run and Beau Wright, Colt Halpin, Aiden Frerichs, Coy Lucht and Aiden Bell each had one RBI.

Carson Schaeffer had the lone RBI for the Trojans, while Cian Moore had three hits and Kolten Haymaker added two hits.
