Protest planned for Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday TV game as plan revealed
A group of Sheffield Wednesday supporters have announced plans to stage a protest inside Elland Road tomorrow ahead of their club's game against Leeds United. Owls supporters are planning on making a statement against club owner Dejphon Chansiri, with calls for him to sell the club.
Chansiri held an explosive fans forum with Sheffield Wednesday supporters on Wednesday evening where he revealed he had not spoken to manager Danny Rohl since last month, had no plans to make any moves in the transfer window and hit back of the criticism that has come his way.
The forum has only seemingly stirred fan anger towards the owner, with The 1867 Group, an independent fan group who say they are focussed on bringing an end to the current ownership, asking fans to collect leaflets before the game calling on Chansiri to sell up.

Writing on X, they said; First come first served on Sunday outside Elland Road, we’ll be handing them (flyer) out prior to kick off. A perfect opportunity with the game being on Sky, ITV and Chansiri being in attendance. Same as the previous flyer protest, from team entry until kick off. Support the team, not the regime. Dejphon Chansiri, put the club up for sale."
Supporters now plan to make their feelings known in the televised game, with the Owls hoping to stay in contention for a potential play-off spot with a good result at Elland Road, while Leeds want to head into the new week top of the Championship table.
