10 teams have now booked their place in the World Cup last-16 after another dramatic night of action in Qatar.

Argentina’s 2-0 victory over Poland saw them qualify as Group C winners, with the Poles also heading through after edging Mexico on goal difference in thrilling fashion.

France had already qualified before their shock loss to Tunisia, with top spot secured in Group D ahead of Australia, who went through after upsetting Denmark.

On Tuesday night, a convincing 3-0 victory put England in the last-16 as Group B winners, followed by the USA who defeated Iran.

On Monday, Brazil edged past Switzerland in Group G thanks to Casemiro’s late goal and Portugal brushed aside Uruguay in Group H courtesy of a Bruno Fernandes brace, sealing their progress with a match to spare.

The Netherlands went through as Group A winners after seeing off sorry hosts Qatar, before Senegal outlasted Ecuador in a shootout for second place.
