Rabbi Matondo could leave Rangers this month with details over an exit plan emerging, according to a report.

The Wales international, who has spent a lengthy period sidelined and unavailable to Philippe Clement, has returned from his time on the treatment table in recent weeks but he's found minutes hard to come by. In the last five Premiership outings he has chalked up a combined total of just 69 minutes, being an unused sub in three of those games.

Rangers boss Clement is desperate to add to his pool with the club in real need of defensive reinforcements due to the ongoing injury crisis at the club. John Souttar, Leon Balogun, James Tavernier, Dujon Sterling and Jack Butland are just some of the big names who have missed out in recent weeks for the Light Blues. CEO Patrick Stewart delivered his long-awaited address and revealed one or two could arrive in the window as he stated: "It wouldn't be as many as three or four, no. We'd be looking at one, possibly two."

Outgoings are expected with the likes of Cyriel Dessers attracting interest from aboard while young pair Adam Devine and Alex Lowry are believed to be free to go. And Matondo could join them with Rangers News revealing that TWO Serie A clubs are keen on his services. The publication name Torino and Lecce as potential destinations with details over any deal also explained. They state that the club would be willing to do a six-month loan agreement - but they'd likely arrange a future fee option in any deal.

Elsewhere, one target who has been previously linked with Ibrox will not be making the move north. The Athletic report that Leeds United forward Joe Gelhardt is heading out on loan to fellow Championship side Hull City. They state the move is being finalised as he seeks much needed game time at the Tigers in the second half of the season.
