Radu Dragusin has revealed that he has "felt an incredible sense of belonging" since joining Tottenham from Genoa in the January transfer window. Making a real impression in Italy with the Liguria-based club, Spurs quickly made their move for the Romanian international as Ange Postecoglou looked to strengthen the team's backline.

Despite some late interest from Bayern Munich, the youngster elected to make the move to Tottenham even though the German giants could offer him Champions League football. Restricted to substitute appearances initially following his move to N17, Dragusin's first real opportunity in the first team came as a substitute in the 4-0 triumph at Aston Villa.

With Micky van de Ven going off injured early in the second half, the 22-year-old got 41 minutes in the tank at Villa Park as they ran riot against their Champions League rivals. Handed starts by Postecoglou in the next couple of games against Fulham and Luton Town, Dragusin would have to wait until the penultimate game of the term for his next start.

Named in the team against Man City with Van de Ven moving across to left-back due to a lack of numbers in the position, the Romanian delivered an outstanding display against the Premier League's best and was Spurs' best player on the night. Maintaining his place in the team for the final game of the season away at Sheffield United, Dragusin delivered another strong display as the team secured Europa League football for the 2024/25 campaign.

The player also managed to irk the home supporters during the first half of the contest after stepping in to offer Guglielmo Vicario some protection from Blades defender Auston Trusty. Giving the ex-Arsenal man a couple of shoves to stop him from disrupting the Spurs shot-stopper, the home fans jeered loudly when he pushed the centre-back just before Jack Robinson's throw-in and it caused him to stumble.

With the 2023/24 Premier League season now done and dusted for Spurs, Dragusin took to his Instagram account after the game to send a message to Tottenham fans.

He wrote: “What a way to end the season! In these few months I’ve spent with Tottenham Hotspur, I’ve felt an incredible sense of belonging. Thank you, Spurs family, for welcoming me with open arms. Let’s keep pushing forward together!”

Very much a heartfelt message from the player, it highlights just how well he has settled into life in north London and how his teammates and those at the club have made his adaptation rather straightforward. That hopefully only bodes well for the future as Dragusin looks to become a pivotal player for Postecoglou and Tottenham over the years to come.
