Peeved Peter Wright suffered more crowd fury and a broken dart as he survived a scare at the Bahrain Darts Masters.

Snakebite made his feelings crystal clear at mouthy punters during his quarter-final victory over Paulo Nebrida. Wright had been irritated by noisy spectators singing and hollering during his last 16 win over Alexis Toylo on Thursday and he made a shush sign after the winning shot after admitting they "got his back up." This time around it was a sarcastic thumbs-up to the heckler who yelled out as he was aiming for a winning double during the game.

The Scot also turned and muttered words in the direction of the gobby punter at the left of the stage before he made it over the line to win by a 6-4 scoreline. Wright glanced across again and gave another thumbs-up to the perpetrator before heading off to get ready for his semi-final against Gerwyn Price.

As well as the crowd issues, the former World Champion also had a point fall out of one of his darts at a crucial stage of the contest. Mercifully, Wright is known for constantly swapping and changing equipment and a quickfire pit-stop on the stage replaced the item.
