Rangers have learned the official start times for their Europa League clash with Fenerbahce.

The Light Blues knew a top eight finish in the league phase would see them on the road first and UEFA have now confirmed the first leg will take place on Thursday, 6 March with a 5.45pm kick-off with the return taking place one week later under the lights at Ibrox with the showdown getting underway at 8pm - just three days before facing rivals Celtic at Parkhead.

The clash will see Philippe Clement go head to head with Jose Mourinho with a quarter-final spot up for grabs to the winner. Rangers' route to the final is already mapped out and should they safely get past the Turkish giants it will be Roma or Athletic Bilbao.

A semi-final could bring a Battle of Britain and another go at Manchester United. The other three teams they could meet include FCSB, Lyon or Real Socieded if they are to go far and reach the final hurdle before the showpiece final.

Reacting to the draw, Clement said: “It’s an exciting two games, I think, that everybody is looking forward to. A team with a lot of experience, a lot of quality, a manager with a lot of experience.

“I know a lot of players also from the past, so yeah, if you see Dzeko, Kostic, Amrabat, Fred. Also some guys who played in France, like Djiku, who played in Strasbourg really well, Osayi Samuel, also a lot of experience, a long time there, the goalkeeper also from Croatia there.

"So it’s a really good team. I think for Hamza Igamane also interesting to play against a really good Moroccan striker and also a stadium with a lot of passionate fans like we have, so I think everybody is excited for this game, that’s clear.”

It will be Clement’s first match-up with Mourinho as he added: “To be honest, I think so, yeah. I had Man Utd a few years, but I don’t think it was him at that moment. It’s not a personal thing, like I always said.

“It’s about the club, it’s about the players. so I’m not so busy against which manager did I manage one moment in time. I think you guys will like that. He’s going to give you a lot of material probably.”
