Rangers ramp up Ibrox repair mission after Storm Eowyn carnage as work commences to put roof back together
Repair work is underway at Ibrox after the roof of the main stand was damaged by Storm Eowyn last night.
Scotland has been swept by some of the worst weather conditions we've seen with football clubs up and down the country feeling the brunt of it. Both Rangers and Celtic have started costly repair work with the Hoops having to call off their clash with Dundee today due to the severe damage to Parkhead.
Morton's iconic cowshed also felt the brunt of it on a day that sent much of the country into an effective lockdown with red weather warnings in place up until 5pm. At Ibrox, Philippe Clement confirmed the dangerous conditions delayed their return from the Europa League clash with Manchester United and even cost him valuable training time with the players unable to report to the training ground on Friday. Pictures emerged on social media showing the damages last night and our photographer has been on site today to capture the extent of the damage.

Cranes have been in operation outside the main stand with workers inspecting the damage and beginning repairs. Fortunately for the club, they have a little time.
They're away at Dundee United this weekend and don't play at Ibrox again until Thursday when they bring their Europa League campaign to an end against Union Saint-Gilloise. Clement will be hoping for an atmosphere that takes the roof off – just maybe not literally, this time.
