Three home defeats on the spin for Rangers - but can they bounce back against Fenerbahce?

KEITH JACKSON: It's almost impossible to know what this team will do next and that flakiness alone must be boiling Barry Ferguson's blood. But these players do seem to get themselves up for Thursday nights in Europe. It might not be beyond them to take a draw home from Istanbul.

ANDY NEWPORT: Rangers have certainly been at their best on the continental stage when given room to manoeuvre by teams willing to push up a bit. But given confidence has hit rock bottom on the back of three humiliating home defeats, it looks a tall order.

SCOTT BURNS: Rangers have a chance. They have played their best football in Europe this season but it would still to be hard to look past Fenerbahce. You can’t really trust the Rangers’ defence.

FRASER WILSON: There’s no doubt Rangers’ best performances this season have been in Europe when there’s less onus on them to open up deep lying defences. So they have a chance. But they’d better tighten up at the back.

Has Yang emerged as a serious Celtic figure with his St Mirren double or should Brendan Rodgers be looking to upgrade in the summer?

KEITH: Yang caught the eye with his cameo role as a sub in the first leg against Bayern Munich and his confidence appears to be soaring. Rodgers has certainly been patient with him and perhaps now we are seeing why.

ANDY: Nicolas Kuhn has shown its why it’s best not to rush to judge too quickly and Yang is doing the same. However, it’s early days in his resurgence and he’ll have to maintain these levels until the end of the season to prove he’s ready for regular action next term.

SCOTT: He is getting better but I’m not convinced he is good enough to hit the levels that Celtic need. He struggled badly in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.

FRASER: He’s only 22 so yes, on this upturn in form he’s showing signs he is worth sticking with. Brendan Rodgers prides himself on improving players. If he can get another gear out of Yang he could be very useful

It was spoils shared in the relegation scrap between Dundee and St Johnstone on Saturday but which of the Tayside strugglers is finishing bottom?

KEITH: St Johnstone have been showing signs of life in recent weeks but they have probably left it too late. Dundee's recent results represent a huge concern but Tony Docherty should still guide them clear.

ANDY: It’s shaping up for a thrilling run in.I like the way Simo Valakari has gone about things and he’s got his men believing alright. Can Dundee handle the heat? I’m not sure I’d be too confident after their recent slump.

SCOTT: It was a poor game. I still think Dundee have more about them and St Johnstone will finish bottom.

FRASER: I have a hunch that Dundee have gone through a major blip and will come strong again when the business end of the season heats up. They have big players and goals in them to pull clear.

After recent VAR controversies involving inconclusive footage at Easter Road and Tannadice, should the SFA fork out to increase the spec of the telly tech?

KEITH: It's the clubs who will have to cover the costs and asking them to dig even deeper might be like getting blood out of a stone. But anything that can be done should be done as the status quo is working for no-one.

ANDY: The FIFA regulations state a minimum of four cameras must be in place to use VAR while the SPFL have decided to go with six at the very least. But it’s still not been enough. I think insisting on a couple more positioned near both goal lines would make a significant improvement. But that comes at a cost.

SCOTT: Something certainly needs to be done. The current set-up is not good enough. Personally, I would scrap it. It is a waste of money.

FRASER: Bin it. If not then yes, improve the system and those using it.
