Raphael Borges Rodrigues 'will make' Europe transfer switch amid Rangers and English Championship interest

Raphael Borges Rodrigues will almost certainly be moving to Europe amid interest from Rangers, says his agent.

Football Scotland exclusively revealed this month the Macarthur FC winger was on the Ibrox side's transfer watchlist for the summer after impressing in the A-League. The Dutch-Australian, 20, hit six goals and two assists this season and that has triggered plenty of interest from English Championship and European sides.

Gers have also discussed him and see him as someone who could make an immediate impact but also fit Philippe Clement's policy of a young player coming in who can develop and make them money down the line. Agent Fahid Ben Khalfallah has confirmed interest from Scotland an other countries and reckons his client will be making the move at some point.

He told FTBL: "There is definitely interest from clubs in England, Scotland and also in mainland Europe.

“But he’s still contracted with Macarthur for next season and has a lot of respect for them. The way things stand, I imagine he’s a player who will be moving to Europe in the near future.

“I really like him and believe he’s one of the best young talents in Australia, especially in terms of skill and mentality. He has big potential and what also makes a big difference is his work ethic and attitude off the field.

“He’s a top kid who has a great desire to succeed - and he quickly takes on board and absorbs information to help improve his game.

“He wants to go to Europe and succeed - he doesn’t just want to go for the sake of making a move. He’s not only a great kid, he's going to have a good career."
